Workplace regulations are a necessary and clearly defined document that is an important element of a proper work system. Labour law imposes an obligation on employers to provide employees with up-to-date instructions on health and safety at work concerning, among others, health risks of employees at work, accident hazards, rescue.

The employee should familiarize himself/herself with the principles of dealing with emergency situations that may occur during the work process.

The specificity of work at heights carries great risks, which can be reduced by developing procedures that take into account the specificity of the facility at which the work is carried out. It should also be borne in mind that only regulations written by specialists are able to provide adequate safety for employees and employers can be sure that the instructions at their workplace meet the relevant standards. When thinking about complying with health and safety regulations, the instructions for working at heights must be adapted to the job, object or process in question and should be guided by priority action in this direction.
