TWIX FIX Line fall protection system is a horizontally installed line with a diameter of 8 mm acting as a guide to which the user is attached.
TWIX FIX Line is designed to protect against falling from a height on flat roofs not exceeding 15 degrees of inclination. It consists of a lifeline, end attachment points, straight and angular intermediate points, energy absorber, rope tension system.
The maximum length of the system is 200 m while maintaining the intermediate supports max every 15 m and acceptable number of two users between two adjacent supports. Using a special lifeline trolley attached to the line and the use of intermediate points fastening the line, a worker moves freely without having to reattach. The belay is carried out by attaching a connecting and cushioning element to the trolley. It is installed through the roof insulation by means of special anchors for structural components such as, for example, trapezoidal sheet, reinforced concrete, hollow core slabs. The interior of the post is filled with an insulating material which enables elimination of thermal bridges. The base of the post is sealed with material from which the roof sheathing is made, eg. PVC, EPDM, bitumen.
It is mounted on TWIX FIX system posts through the roof insulation sheathing without the need to “open”. The system supports are made of aluminium alloy, while the other equipment of stainless steel. It meets the requirements for anchor devices in accordance with EN 795 C and CEN/TS 16415.
